description
For an aperitif with friends or to accompany your meal. I love these crackers because they are very easy to do and infinitely customizable. The recipe, found on the magazine Healthy and light in March, was to add the rosemary, which I replaced with oregano. I already tried a variation of the black pepper and I'll definitely try to experiment with a version that provides for the use of other types of curry spices and turmeric. Even flour can be replaced! Try them!
preparation
step 1
Turn on the oven to 200 degrees. Pour into a bowl the flour, oregano and salt and mix well.
step 2
Add the oil and the water in the center and knead until a soft dough. If too sticky, add flour as needed if too dry or crumbly, add water as needed
step 3
Spread on a sheet of parchment paper with a rolling pin and the dough with a thickness that is reminiscent of biscuits (0.5 cm). If you want more crispy crackers, roll out the dough thinner but watch the cooking!
step 4
With a wheel or molds, trim the crackers with the shape you prefer and arrange them in a pan lined with parchment paper. Prick the surface.
step 5
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serving crackers with sauces to taste (eg. Hummus, guacamole, tomato, spicy) or cheeses.
step 6
The crackers will keep for several days in an airtight container.
