Pour the flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl. Add egg, oil and milk to the center. Stir first with a fork and then with your hands until all the ingredients are absorbed and form a homogeneous mixture.

Dust a flour dish and flatten the dough with a floured rolling pin to form a rectangle. Break the chocolate coarsely and spread it on the surface of the shortcrust pastry. If you want to use the jam, spread it on the surface.

Roll up on itself forming a cylinder. You can sprinkle the surface with egg or milk to brown or skip this step. Put in oven on a plate with parchment paper and bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.

When ready and lightly browned, switch off and allow to cool slightly. Cut the roll when it is lukewarm to prevent it from breaking and becoming too hard. You can keep the cookies obtained in a tin box for a couple of days ... if they get there! ;)
