Wash the pepper, deprive it of the stalk and of seeds and internal filaments, then cut it into small pieces. Cut the previously washed tomatoes into small pieces.

Crush the garlic and cut it into two pieces, heat it in a saucepan with the oil, add the peppers and the tomatoes, salt, pepper and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until they are soft, adding a little boiling water when necessary.

Meanwhile, place a pan of lightly salted water on the stove to cook the pasta. Combine the peppers with the cherry tomatoes 5-6 fresh basil leaves, blend until a smooth and homogeneous cream is obtained.

Cook the pasta and drain it al dente (about 2-3 minutes before the normal cooking), season it with the cream obtained, other basil leaves, mix thoroughly and leave to cool.
