It is certainly not the traditional recipe, but it is very simple, with few sugars, suitable and tasty even for children. It is not a sweet light everyday, but almost ;-) You need only a few ingredients, easily available at home, 5/10 minutes to assemble it and 25 minutes to cook it! Enjoy your meal

Roll out the prepared puff pastry round and preheat the oven, turning it on at 200 degrees.

Peel the 2 apples, cut into cubes and place them in a saucepan. Add the grated rind (I use a zester) and the juice of half a lemon

Add a tablespoon of brown sugar, a grated cinnamon (set according to your tastes .. I normally aboot!), A knob of butter

Light the fire and cook over medium heat, turning the apples often, until they become cooked and soft (but do not undo!)

Put it in the central part of the dough disc, at least a couple of centimeters from the side edges, being careful to drain well from the sauce that will be formed in the pot (keep it aside!)

Spread on the apples a handful of raisins previously soaked in hot water for a few minutes and squeezed. Sprinkle the filling with a spoonful of breadcrumbs and pine nuts.

If you want (optional) add also one or two teaspoons of bitter orange marmalade or apricots, making it fall evenly over the filling.

Close the lower flap of the pastry, bending it towards the center. Do the same with the opposite flap, creating a sort of rectangle. Close the two short sides of the rectangle, left open, pinching between the fingers

With the sauce of the apples left in the pot, brush the surface of the strudel and sprinkle it with the remaining cane sugar and white sugar.

Make 3 cuts on the surface of the strudel with a sharp knife, bake the strudel and cook at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes
