Melt the yeast in 25 ml of warm water in a glass. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Meanwhile sift the flour and the starch in a bowl, make a hole in the center and pour the mixture into it with the baking powder. Knead with your fingertips.
Now add the remaining 25 ml of warm water, melted butter, sugar, eggs, egg yolks, vanilla flavoring and a pinch of salt. Knead until the dough is smooth and compact.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture rise for a couple of hours in a warm place (such as the oven off with the light on). It must double the volume.
Take back the dough, flour a work surface well and roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 5mm
Cut the discs 5 / 6cm in diameter with a glass or a coppapasta.
Put in the center a teaspoon of strawberry cream (see recipe) or jam or cream to taste, brush the edges with a little egg white and rest on the other disk pressing the edges to close them well.
Put the dough back in the oven for about half an hour. They will have to double their volume again.
Bake at 180 ° C in a static oven for about 15 minutes. Then remove from the oven and leave to cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar if you like (I also added post-cooking strawberry cream with a pastry bag!)
