A tasty but light side dish? I'll tell you how I make the white cabbage, using my cooking method without oil. Try!
To serve four people you will need half a white cabbage, vegetable nut powder, curry and pepper. I have indicated to you the quantities, but please do your taste. To serve, you will need pine nuts and black sesame seeds (chosen for the color contrast)
Cut the cabbage into very thin strips. Use the tool you are most familiar with: a knife, a mandolin (careful not to cut yourself) or, if you have it like me, a large potato peeler (more than the normal ones).
In a large enough pot pour a little water to cover the bottom. Add nut powder, curry and pepper.
When the water boils pour the cabbage, stir and cover. Let cook for about ten minutes if you want a little 'crunchy, or more if you want it soft. During cooking, check that it does not dry out too much, if necessary add a little water at a time.
Toast the pine nuts.
Serve the cabbage, sprinkle over the toasted pine nuts and a sprinkling of black sesame seeds. Enjoy your meal!
