I love marinated tofu! even more if served with a great teriyaki sauce! The vegetables I chose are not really Japanese ... but the teriyaki sauce is .. and the taste really changes!
preparation
step 1
marinate the tofu previously cut into thin slices (about half a centimeter thick each) for an hour in warm water in which to add a spoonful of shoyu sauce, a teaspoon of mirin, some fennel seed and a tablespoon of EVO oil.

Meanwhile, prepare the Teriyaki sauce by adding 6 tablespoons of shoyu, a tablespoon of mirin, a teaspoon of honey or sugar and a spoonful of cornstarch.

Cook the vegetables with steam (cooking will take about 10-15 minutes).

Grill the tofu by brushing it with the Teriyaki sauce on both sides. Just a few minutes.

Serve with a ball of wasabi and also season the vegetables with Teriyaki sauce.

ATTENTION: do not add salt. Steaming preserves the mineral salts naturally contained in vegetables, while for tofu, seasoning and marinating with the shoyu sauce or the Teriyaki already give a marked sapidity.
