An original appetizer for a colorful Christmas
preparation
step 1
We will need: chickpeas already cooked, to be seasoned with lemon, oil and salt (if you want)
step 2
Of bread for sandwiches and one or more Christmas molds.
step 3
For the GREEN color: already cooked spinach we will flavor with nutmeg and, if you like, spicy paprika
step 4
For the color RED: raw beet to be seasoned with cumin, Evo oil, pinch of salt and a lemon tick (to avoid oxidation)
step 5
Finally, for the color GOLD, of turmeric and a little bit of water to dilute it
step 6
Blend the chickpeas and toss with oil, lemon and if necessary salt (I do not, I already salt the chickpeas in cooking).
step 7
Prepare the dyes. Whisk the spinach, squeeze well and keep the liquid cast because it could serve later. Season them with paprika nutmeg according to your taste.
step 8
Whisk the raw beet along with the oil and cumin (if you like). Sprinkle a few drops of lemon to prevent oxidation. Now divide the cream of chickpeas into three parts.
step 9
Mix one of the three colorings in each bowl until the desired intensity is achieved. Dilute the creams with liquid: in the spinach used the liquid you have squeezed, in that of beetroot and in that of turmeric add water until it becomes spreadable.
step 10
The liquid must be added at this time to calibrate the final density well, without risking to obtain a cream that would be too soft from the bread. I advise you to blend each of the three creams to mix the ingredients well.
step 11
Flatten the slices of bread loaf with a rolling pin. This step is optional, serves to facilitate cutting with the molds
step 12
Now make a Christmas cake from each slice of pan carré, spread the colored cream and decorate as you like.
step 13
I used lemon peel with fillets and squares, stalks of celery and red beet cut into strips and cubes.
step 14
Here is the decoration of the Christmas ball
step 15
Here is the fir tree.
step 16
And here are the stars.
step 17
Merry Christmas!
