My love for porridge is not a secret, in fact in recent months I have proposed it on the blog in different versions, both sweet and savory (but all simple and very quick to make) Today we have lunch with the tomato version and basil, a union of simplicity, taste and beneficial ingredients for the body
First I prepare a tomato sauce very simple in this way: roll the peeled tomatoes and add water until you reach the weight of 400 g, I transfer them into a pot with shallots and extra virgin olive oil, then cook over low heat for at least 30 minutes
Once the sauce is cooked, add the basil leaves and salt and pepper to remove from the heat
At this point I put 3 glasses of water on the fire inside a pot with high sides and, once brought to a boil, add the oatmeal
Bake for about 5-6 minutes, or until you have reached the desired consistency and adding any other water to taste
Once you have obtained a creamy consistency, add the previously prepared sauce and let it season for a couple of minutes.
Serve immediately adding a little olive oil directly into the dish
